Despite my reluctance to tackle, what I initially perceived as a dry medical tome, I am enjoying this autobiography immensely. Learning that my grandmother has a handwritten letter from one of Dr. Barnard's very first heart transplant recipients make it an even stronger connection. It doesn't even seem like a 530 page book! Looking forward to a biography that covers his later life.
