I think the trope of it-was-all-a-dream is super tired and overused, and I'm kind of upset my author used it. The main character had been experiencing an odd situation when all of a sudden "[he] fell out of the dream"(Tracey 208). I think the actual dream might be important later on in the story, but as of right now, I think this was a super random and bad use of an overdone trope.
