L' arcano del lupo bianco
is finished
After reading the novel I decided to dust off my archives to reread, for the umpteenth time (even if it had been a while since the last), this story (the original issues are from 2012). Compared to the tradition of Disney parodies, indebted to the influence of Guido Martina, this story differs in a more "serious" and faithful approach to the material of origin...

...(while still presenting various "poetic licenses" aimed at sweetening the work by making it more "light and friendly"). The result remains very remarkable and effective looking at the same time at the original novel, followed in a very faithful way, and at the atmospheres of the cinematographic transposition (that of Francis Ford Coppola). Then the baroque and elegant drawings of Fabio Celoni are amazed, who really gave his best reaching incredible heights (the kiss or burial scene), the coloring of Mirka Andolfo, who contributed to making everything even more suggestive, and obviously the excellent balance between the lightest and most intense moments given by the script by Bruno Enna, who has chosen the cast in a perfect way, managing to make each character stand out in his role. Witty and brilliant dialogues that offer funny scenes alternating with moments of great horror atmosphere and tension (which is rare compared to the most classic standards of Disney comics) make this story a real modern classic, it is no coincidence that, the success achieved, has opened the doors to a series of great parodies / tributes to other literary classics (without forgetting that this story is also the first chapter of what is now considered "The Gothic trilogy" ... if I find the other numbers I will also reread the rest).
