Not only do they condone slavery they litterally bind Tam back in his chains "To Protect Him".

I can't think of anything that reeks of Slaver Rhetoric than that.

They act as if it is a good and natural thing to enslave people. Especially if they are from another land.

Furthermore, the author casually swap servant and slave as if they are synonyms.

Why don't the reviews mention any of this?

Seriously why would you choose to have your Heroes be slavers and still want us to like them?

Is this leading to a twist where they find out they are on the side of evil and that the invaders are actually the good guys and they then switch sides?

I hope this is what she is leading to if not... I have a trash can.

It feels like Southern Apologist propaganda.

For some reason the author has decided to not only have Chattel Slavery be part of her Fantasy Series published in 2019 (not 1919), but to have the protagonists own and casually abuse a slave.

The male protag Strikes the enslaved boy and defends putting another perpetually in a Choker Dog Collar. Which another character uses to choke the person for spilling wine.

Never include slavery unless it is by the villains
