I really like the part where Graeber illustrates how, despite our contemporary equation of capitalism with markets (wherein government is imagined as an interfering if necessary framework around pure market logic) markets can just as easily be viewed as antithetical to capitalism, as in medieval China and it's government's suspicion of merchants, with Markets defined as CMC and Capitalism as MCM.
