Kolmannskuppe: a turn-of-the-century German colonial diamond mining town in Namibia, now abandoned to the desert. Dunes have filled the buildings though parts have been restored as a tourist attraction. Run in conjunction with De Beers, of course.

Epecuén was a resort town in Argentina that was flooded for 30 years by the salt lake it sat beside. The ruins that were left when the waters finally subsided are truly eerie.
