OK, I think I've figured out why I am not enjoying this as much as some other books, even though it is dark fantasy...I don't feel a lot is happening in the story other than charcter development for Laith. I feel both the love interests are absolutely horrendous and I don't trust or like either of them. Neither of them have redeeming qualities...so yeah, it's OK, but I'm not hooked!
