Because I'm notoriously bad at reading blurbs and solely judge books by their covers, I initially thought this was going to be a lesbian romance novel.
It became obvious withing the first chapter that this wouldn't be the case and more of a milk-and-water like story.
But now, suddenly it's about sisterhood and racism, offering systemic criticism.

I'm looking forward to what this novel still has to offer
