This looks to be another great Lorac book. I have become a fan of her beautiful writing. The setting, atmosphere, and characters are wonderful, and Inspector McDonald is one of my favorite coppers.

Glad to hear you're enjoying this one so far. I have it on my TBR and also enjoy Loracs writing. McDonald is wonderful. :)

McDonald is wonderful. :)"I have been a Golden Age mystery fan for years but had never heard of Lorac until joining the Facebook Golden Age group. I've learned a lot about authors who are new to me. Lorac and Anthony Berkeley are my favorites so far. I'm so happy to have discovered the British Library reprints.
