Within the book the two main characters, Lexi and Twitch (Antonio) both go through twists and turns to learn that they were meant to be. Their love story is not love at first sight, it's more of the love where you have to learn to love each other. When their relationship takes a fatal turn for the worst Twitch makes a snap decision that he must fake his death for Lexi and his future son to be safer from his enemies.
