Struggling so far because when read slowly and thoroughly and sit with the language, the pacing is off and the plot slips away. When read at the proper speedy and rhythm, the novel becomes much more lyrical (oral?) and epic, but I feel like I’m missing out on these beautiful grotesque poignant passages.

Really excellent and strangely challenging :)
