I’ve read a book very similar to this. She gets chosen to be one of the girls taken to the palace who might solve the curse on the prince. They have to answer 3 questions and no one’s ever gotten past the second. They burn up. The prince is fat and bald.
And there’s a disease that only special flowers can cure that the prince makes for a few people.
