Bowjey?! Cornish for cow-house, I think, but even Google is having a hard time cracking this. I don't think it's meant to be Newlyn (Bowjey Beach), because church is St Kirren's, and there's Locharnoch across the estuary, which apparently exists in Queensland, Australia...
