In the section that I read today, many years had passed and Slava was still living in New York. When one day, he received an email about his father being in a hospital in Southern Sudan. When some more emails were transferred back and forth, he made his way to Sudan to visit is father. When he got there he found out that his mother and sisters and brother were back at the village, his oldest and middle brother died.

In the section that I read today, Slave got picked to go to New York. This was a great new opportunity for Salva. In New York he had a whole new family waiting for him. It was unbelievable to him how cold it was outside.

In the section that I read today, Slava and many other boys traveled to Kenya to escape the soldiers in Ethiopia. When they arrived at the camps they realized that they were not as they expected. So Slava traveled to another camp west, come to find out it was the same.

In the section that I read today, Salva has become a refuge to escape war in Sudan. He travels to Ethiopia for safety with his uncle when his uncle was killed. Many years after being in refuge camps in Ethiopia, Soldiers tell them that they have to leave or they will get killed. So Salva left all by himself.
