This book gives horrible advice for potted plants. It states “the best time [to water] is in the evening, on a daily basis” (which will absolutely lead to overwatering of potted plants, and therefore increase the risk of root rot, UNLESS it is in a hot outdoor climate to adjust for the high quantities of water).
