This book should be required reading. It gives thought-provoking insight into the nature of all our technologies, especially information technologies, and most especially the internet. (Yes, the very internet we're using right now.) Technologies always make new things possible, but they also make some old things impossible, or at least very difficult. This book looks like a needed update to Neil Postman's work.
