My grannie gave me a copy of this once and I never read it, and in hindsight this probably would have lurched me into King-esque horror way sooner. I'm usually a bit squeamish about infidelity/death of a partner (for instance, I put down American Gods after about 20 pages of the intro and haven't picked it back up yet... a decade later) so this has been a struggle for my heart but so far, so good.
