The back of the book says "the spirit of Holden Caufield lives on". If I had read that I probably never would have picked it up. At least I don't want to punch Miles as much as I wanted to punch Holden Caufield. It's not as bad as catcher in the rye, but I understand the comparison and I'm just not digging the content of the book.

So far I hate it. Heterosexual boy meets manic pixie dream girl and carries on about his attraction to her way more in depth than I care to hear. The witty repoirte feels so forced and awkward too. No one talks like that and I know it's supposed to be better than people talk but I'm so tired of witty books/movies with more punchline than plot line. I'm going to stick with it awhile longer.
