This sounds cute! I wanna hear how it is. :) Hey, question, too--is that your pug??

I'm about halfway through and it's predictably cute and sweet. A rather straightforward, formulaic ("flat") writing style. So far I'd give it 4 stars. It's only 170 pages so check it out!

😁No ... I came across that pug pic around the same time I jumped on GoodReads and thought it was the perfect profile pic. I can imagine myself in that posture a few years (decades?) down the road! 😂

Alright. I've been adding a lot of Christmas books and need to start on them.

I have a pug, so I was curious :))

The two N.R. Walker "Hartbridge" Christmas books I just read are awesome! I LOVE her writing and her characters and her settings and her "steamy" scenes and her ...

Hmmm. I read one of hers and it was a complete dud...figured I'd just add her to my DNRs. I'll have to think about it. The intimate scenes that I read in that one were quite...lacking.

The blurbs on some of her books don't grab my interest. I recently read the first in the 'Red Dirt Heart' series and LOVED it and the sex scenes were quite fun, imo! I then read the two 'Hartbridge' Christmas books and loved them, too ... in a "Hallmark movie" kinda way. Yes ...they're syrupy sweet and quite humorous but that's what I want in a Christmas book. So my experience with her is just those 3 books ... so far. I will definitely be reading the rest of the 'Red Dirt Heart' series.

I've heard good things about Red Dirt Heart. So I'll either try one of those or a Christmas one from her. Private Charter was a 2 so I can give her one more chance. ;)

Just read the blurb on that one ... and it sounds right up my alley with the setting. I also read your review. We all have different tastes & likes that make us go 🍌 so maybe Ms. Walker just isn't your style. Most any book will have one star ratings and five star ratings. 🤷‍♂️ I certainly respect your opinion and, as a poster in my high school said, "different isn't wrong ... it's just different". I expect I will eventually read 'Private Charter' (but not until I finish the 'Red Dirt Heart' series) ... now I'm curious to compare my thoughts on it with yours! 😁
