An intriguing read about my own hometown. Some places in the book are no longer standing, having been demolished since this story starts in early 1940's.
Some places do stand as yet, but all in all Dundee hasn't changed all that much in the last 80 years.
The City Arcade still stands, but not used for shopping any longer, for one.
I'm certainly looking forward to reading other books about Dundee's history and growth
