A lot of our problems with viruses stems from putting money first and climate change caused by man and the deterioration of ecological habitats that put animals and humans on top of one another in a world where international travel is a daily occurence. Who knew?

The author takes for granted the ability to know the abbreviations of all these diseases; as the three or four abbreviations for the various encephalitis illness mentioned in the Mad Cow get used together late in that chapter I lost track of which was which. Otherwise a pretty good explanation of how that illness forms and spreads to the layman.
