My friend wrote a beautiful and outstanding essay on this poem—enough to inspire me to read it. I’m fascinated by medieval mysticism, focalization and materialism (the ecocritical philosophy). I loved this—breaks my heart that I cannot take a Medieval Literature course in university this year. So much groundbreaking (and oddly progressive) work to be discovered.
