What’s your favorite so far, Cherisa?

Hi Terry, A lot of old favorites are present, but this from Shelley really hit home, on resignation:

Yet now despair itself is mild,
Even as the winds and waters are;
I could lie down like a tired child,
And weep away the life of care
Which I have borne and yet must bear…

Unadulterated elegance! I wish I were more conversant with the Romantic poets. Is this one of your favorite eras?

Not so much anymore. A lot of the book felt turgid to me, striking me differently than 20 or 30 or more years ago.
