Actually, I'm not sure how much more of this I can take. Occasionally fantastic, but altogether too goofy and gag-based to really get into.

Brian Vacek I'm sad youre not more taken with the East Euro flavor, the alternation of the ribald and ridiculous with the dry and cunning. Perhaps I'm overrating it (doubtlessly by at least a star), but coming off of Lem's clinical study of uncomfortable scientific-emotional-philosophic intersections in Solaris, I found this to be a much more inspired and free-form work. Plus it shows that Lem can crack a smile.


Nate D It is true -- Lem certainly has range! I ended up needing a bit of a break but coming back refreshed and liking much of the second half.


Brian Vacek I remember there being at least a clunker or two in there, but I can't remember which were which.
