Typicyl rooney with all her rooneyness. I love the emails sprinkled in, in the story i care a lot more about eileen and simon than alice and felix (who have honestly 0 things in common)
Genuinely hope eileen and simon end up together, they seem like a couple that would have married so such a few generations back.
They are many banal details mentioned, that make the pace infinitely slow and the tone bare at times :(
