On page 300 I told myself "I'm giving this book 50 more pages. If this kid is still high in Los Vegas I'm closing it and not picking it up again". Thank God page 345 brought him back to NYC and the book got much more interesting again. This is definitely one of those books that could benefit from a good editor.
