I love watching Reza Aslan defending Muslims on Fox News but reading this book of him was a different experience! Except for the interpretations he offered on hijab and few other points, I am finding the tone somehow defensive (of Islam). I expected to read a scholarly book but I am not finding much more than what we had learned in high school and college in Iran. I hope it gets better after chapter 7.
