Cannot even begin to describe how much I’m enjoying this. There is a tiny bit of that miscommunication trope where if she just said her truth everything would fall into place but it’s not terrible.

Yep. I’m hooked.

This is a retelling of the lion king which is a retelling hamlet but it some how manages to also have a west side story vibe (which is a Romeo and Juliet retelling omg the list just keeps going!!)

I am just not impressed with Tristan! He is just very much entitled white man energy. Very much my brother and mom weren’t nice there for I have the right to be a total dick all the time. Maybe there’s something I’m missing in his backstory but….

Okay may be a tad early but let’s call this my first impression: I’m not as immediately in love with the characters as I was with hooked. More so the MMC, the FMC has me intrigued
