⚠️spoilers⚠️ Im not sure why the book didn’t explore the characters feelings when she was forced into a sexual encounter. Like her body wasn’t just used, she was conscious during the whole process and yet we don’t really get her afterthoughts about it. Especially because it counts as SA. It wasn’t freely give, she had no choice to take back consent, she wasn’t informed about sexual encounters, -

- [word count ran out] she wasn’t enthusiastic and there wasn’t anything specific she gave consent for, because she couldn’t give consent. Plus she’s in an industry where they would just say “you signed a contract to be okay with everything and anything, or leave.” But that’s not how consent works. Especially in this case where she’s conscious and that’s not what the contract promised her, and she’s in a position where she basically has to be okay with it otherwise her family and her suffer. Why has the book just brushed off this topic so quickly.
