I liked the second one a lot and wasn’t a huge fan of the first book

Agree. I meant like it better than when I read it the first time with the new information you get from the second book on some of the things that happened. From what I’ve seen it seems like the general consensus is the second is the best of the series. I do still need to read 3-5.
