The Cage - a rather uninspiring story until the end, concluding with the kicker line: only rational beings put other beings in cages.

MS Found In A Chinese Cookie - interesting premise (manuscript written on cigarette papers from an insane asylum) but ultimately an elaborate set up for the flat gag of: that explains some books on the best selling list.

The Country of the Kind - continues to disturb. It's not the notion of pure evil or the inability to rehabilitate, I think it is the idea that the only true freedom lies in the taking of another life in this homogenised 'nice' world. I feel icky for having empathy with the main character - like I did with the antagonist in Beuke's 'Broken Monsters'.
