So far, the stories (based on real patients and events) detailing the devastating effects of childhood trauma along with Dr. Perry’s modest expertise have blown my mind. This book is quickly becoming one of those life-changing books for me. Learning how trauma, especially during early development affects the brain, is giving me new insight into human behaviour—even challenging my own world view.
