You really expect me to believe that the LI noticed her eyes are caramel coloured when she swiftly falls into the lake and he’s not even close to catching her? And that when she’s about to drown he’s checking out her butt and breasts and thinking to himself “damn i do always go for the voluptuous ones”? 🥴

Look, I understand there needs to be some internal monologue to info-dump anout the characters and their background but at least do it at a point in the story where it makes sense. The LI thinking at length about his war experience while he’s trying to save the heroine makes no sense. I give up

Like you couldn’t keep those descriptions until AFTER he’s saved her?? This makes him seem not at all heroic and instead really shallow
