while this book's way too pro-cop & pro-legalism for me, the things i like is that 1 it gave 3 models of resistance organizations so far & 2 it debunks totalitarianism by describing institutional infighting & dictatorship infighting. people act like because WBP dictatorship is strong that a local KKK franchise is similarly strong when a local KKK is prone to small business cashflow problems. KKK rely on cops.

This part about the investigation being closed up, my suspicion has been that the white cops wanted to join the local KKK but wanted to make the black cop build it for them.

So yeah, I do have some negative perception of the Colorado Springs PD getting involved with the KKK circa the 1970's. (Especially since in the middle of reading this or at least repeatedly getting recommended this book, WS massacre of ClubQ)
