Yes, it’s not really clear in the story how she pays him or if she does but there isn’t any mentions of ownership. By the blurb I thought that she maybe won him or bought him somehow, but he just kind of accepts a job. I didn’t like the idea of a slave situation. It’s so weird what can trigger someone lol.
I hate bad blurb. Chestnut Springs ahs bad blurb and I cant believe I nearly didn't read them based on that alone
Ikr, the blurb has one job.
