This feels very Stephen King to me. Gang of kid friends, check. Creepy shit in a small town, check. Probably 200 pages longer than it needs to be, check! Enjoying it though.

Dave I actually picked this up not too long ago precisely because it seemed so Stephen King-esque!

Katie Did you read the whole thing? I'm wondering if I'm going to make it through. This book is sooo looong and I'm not sure if the payoff will be worth it or not...

Dave No, I haven't even started it yet, it's just TBR. I know it's long but typically those kinds of books have a super slow burn but if you can make it through, the payoff is worth it. Let me know how it goes. Also, there's no shame in DNF's, life's too short to waste it on a book you're just not into, ya know?

Katie I'm halfway through now and it's just getting so repetitive. I definitely don't mind a long book if it's filled with story, but I already know for a fact that at least 200 pages could have been cut and you wouldn't notice as far as the story goes. The beginning was so good! Shame

Dave On to the next thing, then!

Katie Yep! I think I'm finally going to read Leech since it's finally winter and it's supposed to snow!

Dave That sounds like a good plan, go with your heart. I know how much you enjoy cozy, comfy wintry reading!
