The Spanish Picatrix was not a very accurate rendering of the Ghāyat al-Hakīm, abounding in elaborations, errors, and omissions, which is not unusual for translations of the time.

Some of these omissions include longer segments that were either just too difficult for the translator (including some theoretical sections) or were otherwise too offensive to Christian sensibilities (e.g., rituals involving homosexual relations or passages from the Qur’an).
