Love > Status Update

So just really getting back into reading. I will be having a surgery that will likely put me on limited movement for 6 months...so I will be getting a book pile together. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I love reading about Hell's Kitchen...favorite writer for that subject. Lorenzo Carcaterra any similar authors?
