Loving the flow of this book. And Nathan's inner monologue. He seems strong yet extremely vulnerable. And funny! God he's funny. Example, the thought about footing it, sharpish, after giving his stepdad the finger. (That was an example of pitiful and funny). Here's just funny: "Poor bastard. If cocks were faces, this bloke’d win beauty contests."

Man, I wonder what Stephen's inner monologue sounds like! I can't put this book down! But I must! Work calls. Ah well, at least it will stop me from fretfully glancing at the quickly diminishing page count.

Again, as I pondered through Winter Fisherman's Lodge and Rorschach Blots, what you experience previously sets you up for what is acceptable, even desirable, in the future. In this book, Nathan appreciates Adam, his roommate. But he ain't no friend: he won't let him practice his French, he doesn't clean the bathroom after himself, he's none too kind, but, he's so much better than druggies stealing his shit.
