“What is missing in the current manifestation of Ai that makes it unable to create novel narrative has something to do with architecture. The recent advances in Ai aren't because of new models of intelligence but largely were made possible by brute power, by engineering advances rather than a greater conceptual understanding of intelligence or, that proximal and vital and murky concept: consciousness.”
