Note to self: Do not read sex scenes while at work ;)

I love that fight scene between Malcolm and Corbin after Corbin brings Barrett and Ailwen to Valenia. All the insults Malcolm slings to Mara and Corbin are gold. I can just hear his voice in my head, the tone he uses and the bitterness as he says those things.

Love rereading books and finding I see the scenes differently than I did the last time I read it.

When it's difficult to get into a new book, go for an often-read favorite. I think I've read this book (and its sequel) every year, once a year, since it came out.

I'd finish today, but it is late.

It should tell you something if you like a book that you can read it regardless of the number of distractions around.

I love how complex Malcolm is. All his flaws, his obsessions with power and Mara. How he is being shaped into a monster by his troubled past and rejections. I see him as an antihero now. Remember, you either die a hero or live long enough to become a villian. Having already read this book, I know what path he chooses, but I love rereading this.
