I finished the 2nd book. It took me a while because of the holidays plus the characters are aggravating. They just lack so much depth. They seem very one note and lack any complex emotional thinking like a normal person. This book was more exciting than the first book. There was less killing which was a plus to me. I will be reading the third and final book in the series and hopefully Khaleel gets what he deserves.

I finished book 1. I’ve never read a serial killer book about a black person. The violent acts are very descriptive but they don’t last long. I wish the author had done more research about crime solving because I feel like some things are far fetched. There were a few grammatical errors. There was an area where an entire 2 paragraphs was repeated. The mmc is not likable to me at all. The fmcs are also cringey.
