Sam (a) seemingly being the only employee at this library and (b) walking off and leaving the library unattended and unlocked so he can help a patron go off doing research elsewhere in town in the middle of his shift is honestly stressing me out.

Nothing about this scene with Will in the field is a good idea.

I can’t help but be astonished by this librarian. He doesn’t ask for Burke’s ID or use the computer to check out the books. His library is still using checkout cards in the backs of the books. And he doesn’t offer to sign Burke up for a library card when Burke tells him he doesn’t have one. I know this is a small town, but geez.

Well, this is off to an uncomfortable start. Middle-aged Burke is back in his hometown. Reunites with his old high school crush/one-time hookup. Also present? Crush’s son. Burke ogles him (in front of his dad), thinking how he looks like his dad in high school. Next scene, Burke & the son are kissing. The age gap squicks me out, plus Burke’s history with the dad. I don’t care that it was the son’s idea. No.
