as someone who love characterizng-focused, i feel this book is perfect for me. i feel the pity feeling and attachments toward the characters in this book. like, i’ve read 3 chapters and it tells about a young formed-student aged 23 named rodya (raskolnikov) that’s not in a mood to meet anyone, hiding in his room, hid from the landlady because he can’t pay the rent. and his mother and his angelic sister!

zakharovich belike mentioned ‘sonechka’ out of nowhere and i tried to look up to the characters name list and it’s not there. being confused for a minute, i googled it and it’s actually sofya semyonovna (sonya) wth why there are so many other names
