I'm sorry, but the MC is stupid AF for not figuring out from the beginning that the ex-cons weren't sick. Like, these 5 dudes who all came from the same prison or w/e all just happened to be ill and start the same drug trials? Authors need to think about these things a little harder. It totally pulled me out of the immersion of the story. Being as shocked as she was is weird.
