89% a closed door, wordy novel but interesting to read something different

The author seems to be making the characters talk like Wodehouse characters would in real life- at least the silly, sweet hero and heroine. But the book is going slow and easy to leave. I can’t believe I’m only at 50%. That sentiment started at 20-something and again each addition my Al 10%

Sweet rom-com regency

Rom com regency, light and nice. Looked at the author’s other titles but barely understood the plots. Hope her writing develops

Same butler’s name too

Hero, Anthony Farr Duke of something, seems to be based on Lord Emsworth of Blandings with a beloved pig and slovenly dress. Promising way to start!
