What the heck. It has been a while since an admission, a revelation like this brought me to tears, unexpectedly. Bravo, Ms. Dallen. I can’t wait to see what happens when Alistair’s patience convinces Henri he is sincere in his supposed change of heart. 🥰

I guess he doesn’t know what she plans to do with the information or how wily she is … but why not just “take the wind out of her sails” and let her know how noble his cause truly is? Why would she want to deprive the poor & needy of the help he and his supposed dead brother provide, or deprive the community at large of some security?
