I’m perplexed by the 4- and 5-star reviews. The prologue is basically a sex scene driven by poorly-written traumatic events we zip through. Then the first chapter tells you the FMC is at a party for a paragraph, then slips into reminiscent narrative. The next page is three weeks later. What?!
So far, there’s nothing resembling dialogue or a scene (except the sex scene). How long to torture myself before DNF?
