I wanted to come back to this book 10 years after reading it for the first time, thinking if I was just too young to understand it, and that's why I hated it.

Well, maybe I'm still too young and I still don't understand Austen's purpose with the portrayal of Emma. If this was supposed to be some form of a redemption arc for her, then I figure she's still as clueless, self-conceited as she was at the very beginning
