started my second read, still fantastic.

overshooting week 6 2015 goal, delayed. What an experience, or rather what a sequence of rich experiences!

week 4 goal, 2015 group. what a page-turny part with wonderful observations on music and even some sweet, nuanced romance.

restarted on Davis' new translation after starting on the free Moncrieff one (too stylized), then my MKE hard copy, then going digital with the Davis one. Glad i did, translation musings in the two prefaces are awesome.

group goal first week

first chapter, used the free Moncrieff translation, some quirks but enjoyable simple language. ending on the rightly infamous Madeleine scene, memory forming allegory of the Japanese tradition of paper morphing into structures and things in a bowl of water.
